Building Archaeology in Jordan Project (مشروع علم الآثار المبنية في الأردن)

The project explores architecture in Jordan in the Roman, Byzantine, and Islamic period, focusing on أم السراب and the Mafraq Governorate. Object of investigations were the building techniques and materials using archaeological and archaeometric methods (e.g. mortar analysis), and photogrammetry. No dataset for this project is available online, but a report of the excavations seasons was published in openaccess in ADAJ and is linked in the resources to this entry. More recent open-access publications on the area of Southern Hauran (2016) and on Umm al-Surab (2016) are also linked in the resources.
